A Night out at the Grand Theater in Wausau
Wausau's Grand Theater started as an 890-seat Opera House in 1899, and was a popular place on the Midwest's theatrical circuit. The original building no longer stands, because it was replaced by the new1470-seat Grand Theater in 1927. The classic revival-styled theater has been open ever since. The theater was fully restored in 1987, and in 2002 it was expanded. Today, the Grand Theater really does operate as one of the cornerstones of downtown Wausau, and continues to be a huge draw to our incredible community. There are over 300 performances held within these walls each year, and is definitely a must for guests staying at the Stewart Inn. Some of the upcoming events at The Grand include:Country artist RaeLynn.
