Summer Baseball Games
Most of your day in Wausau should be spent exploring, whether in the downtown core, or out in the abundant parks and trails that surround the city. That’s just part of what you do here. As much as we know you’d probably like to, it’s impossible to be out there adventuring all of the time. Eventually, you’ll need to come back to the Stewart Inn and enjoy a relaxing evening or two around the town. You’re in luck! Wausau is an incredible destination, with delicious foodie eats, inspiring artistic museums and galleries, wonderful shopping, and plenty of entertainment in the streets of downtown.
Wausau is also home to a popular Northwoods Baseball Team. What better way to relax, than with a cold beer and America’s favorite pastime? The Northwoods Baseball League is a summer collegiate league, and their season runs from now through the end of August. Our local team, the Wisconsin Woodchucks, have even been chosen to host the 2017 All-Star Game & Home-Run Derby, which happens next week at Wausau’s historic Athletic Park. Tickets aren’t very expensive, and your enjoyment is more than worth the cost.
